NAPSA Stars Vs Mufulira Wanderers

Woodlands Stadium

 13:00

There is one statistic that we should be aware of Mufulira Wanderers has only lost one game that has started at 13:00hrs. They are coming from a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Green Bufafleos On the return of the games at Shinde Stadium after playing two home games in Luanshya .Mufulira Wanderers are sixth and Napsa are 13th but don’t be deceived by the differences in positions,NAPSA are becoming a different team from what we saw in the first half of the season. They Are only below Maite with a point on the form table in the last six games. Napsa has won two, drew two and lost two in the last six while Mufulira Wanderers have won three and lost three in the last six. That will give NAPSA some hope as they play the more confident Maite every week in week out. The biggest challenge for Napsa this season is their failure to score. They have failed to score in 17 games out of 25 while Mufulira Wanderers have only failed to score in 8 games but the NAPSA defence this season is better than of Maite. Napsa have conceded 25 compared to the 27 of Mufulira Wanderers.  Be aware that most of those goals that Mufulira conceded were in the first half of the season. This is a tight one and a win for NAPSA coupled by losses for Nchanga Rangers and Forest Rangers will mean three teams may end the weekend on 27 points which would be big relief for NAPSA.

For Maite the highest they would go is fifth above Nkwazi should Nkwazi lose their game away to Forest. Tight call to make and I think this may just be a draw, Take note that NAPSA lost the corresponding fixture 2-1 to Mufulira Wanderers.

The two teams to share points.

VERDICTS

BWEZANI :  NAPSA STARS 1-1 MUFULIRA WANDERERS

MANGESA : NAPSA STARS 0-1 MUFULIRA WANDERERS

GBFC Vs Nkana

Woodlands Stadium

15:00

This is one a big game of the weekend perhaps the biggest and we are yet to see if we can label Nkana as a team that Is Back. But you just don’t know what Aggrey Chiyangi has in store for the fans.  Nkana under Aggrey have got very good points and they have signed good players as well but it’s not a team you expect to see good football week in week out.  It’s like a team playing on remote. I was at Nkana Stadium last week where they demolished Lusaka Dynamos and ofcourse even without the red card of Jebel Sakala, Nkana were on top of things for the major period of that game but this is a different ball game altogether.  It’s the resurgent Green Buffaloes commanding fourth position on the log. But Nkana is the visitor and in the last 12 games in the super league played in this fixture Nkana is on top of things winning 7 and only losing 3,the other two have ended in draws. Nkana has one win away at GBFC in the last 12 games and that came last season on 4th October 2014 the game that ended 2-1.

GBFC is second to Zesco on the form table having collected 14 points in the last six games. Only Zesco has collected more (14).Nkana is fourth with 9 points in the last six games. Am going for a home win in this encounter as am not yet convinced by Nkana away from home and Aggrey tactics. Nkana will lose this one.

VERDICTS

BWEZANI :  GBFC 2-1 NKANA

MANGESA : GBFC 2-1 NKANA

Power Dynamos Vs National  Assembly

Arthur Davies

15:00

Am not seeing National Assembly surviving relegation even with the proposed restructuring of the league . Assembly is going down. It’s no longer motivating to watch very unmotivated team of Assembly and a lot is going on in the minds of these players but they should now be bracing themselves for division  one football because that’s were they are going. Assembly has played  25 games, won 5,drew 3 and lost 17. They have only scores 18 goals Ofcourse better than Nakambala and Napsa But what makes it worse is the 40 goals they have conceded bringing their goal difference to negative 22 amounting to 18 points and surely the team with that record deserve to go down and that is what will happen at the end of the 2015 season.

What makes it worse for National Assembly Is that they are away to Power Dynamos a team they have never beaten in the Super league.  The last 11 games in this fixture have 9 wins for Power Dynamos and Two draws. Power Dynamos won 1-0 away in Lusaka in the first half of the season and they are desperately chasing second spot that Zanaco currently hold. The difference is two points but ZANACO have very good goal difference against Power Dynamos so this is an opportunity to also improve that negative goal difference against Zanaco and am sure Power Dynamos will do it. National Assembly will lose.

VERDICTS :

BWEZANI : POWER DYNAMOS 3-0 NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

MANGESA : POWER DYNAMOS 2-0 NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Green Eagles Vs ZESCO United

 Independence-Choma

15:00hrs

ZESCO is in search of one of the two victories than will crown them champions for  the title they won last season. They will also be looking to break the record of the higest points in the Zambian super league currently held by Zanaco (71) during the 2006 season.

Should Zesco win the last remaining five matches then their maximum will be 74 , three better than the record holders Zanaco. But they have to start negotiating that with an away trip away in the Southern Province at one of the most difficulty places to go and get points in the league. Zesco has visited Green Eagles four times and have only managed one away win.  They have lost twice and drawn once in Choma. That is testament enough that this won’t be an easy fixture for the almost champions elect in the 2015 season. ZESCO is yet to be defeated this season on the road as their only two defeats have been  at their own home at the hands of Forest Rangers and Nkwazi FC.  They will be desperately looking to keep that record intact against  Green Eagles who have just managed  two wins of their last six games allowing 8 goals and only forcing 6.

Can Zesco get their second win away at the stubborn Eagles Nest?  We are yet to see that But Green Eagles have allowed most teams that had not won in Choma to pick points this season, that’s the weakness I see in the Eagles team this season and am going for a second win for Zesco away in Choma.

VERDICTS

BWEZANI :  GREEN EAGLES 1-2 ZESCO

MANGESA : GREEN EAGLES 1-1 ZESCO

Nakambala Vs Nchanga

 Nakambala Stadium

15:00hrs

Nakambala Leopards can only get off the bottom two if they offset the six goal difference they have against Konkola Blades and ofcourse they can also be helped by Zanaco who are playing Konkola Blades at Sunset. I don’t see that happening this weekend. Nchanga boasts of two wins away at Nakambala with four at home bringing to six the number of times they have beaten Nakambala Leopards. The sugar boys only have one win against Nchanga and  they also count four draws. That brings to 11 total games played between the two in the Super league. Nchanga will struggle in this encounter.Statistics don’t show any motivation for Nchanga on the road, Nchanga remains one of the teams never to have won any away game this season but have had five draws on the road and Nakambala is one place you don’t go and get free points. you have to work extra hard and the defence of Nakambala is so motivating because only the top four teams as of week 25 have allowed lesser goals with the best being power Dynamos ofcourse. I think Nakambala can  win this encounter because surely Nchanga won’t score in this One.

VERDICT :

BWEZANI : NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS 1-0 NCHANGA RANGERS

MANGESA : NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS 1-1 NCHANGA RANGERS

Forest Vs Nkwazi

Dola Hill

15:00hrs

The last away win for Nkwazi was 12th September and before that the other away victory was in Ndola against league leaders Zesco where they won 2-1.Nkwazi is one team that has not managed back to back wins this season But managed three consecutive draws against ZANACO ,Lusaka Dynamos and Green Buffaloes in June. They can equal that again if they draw at Forest after drawing at home against Zesco and Power dynamos in their last two games. They are desperate to keep fifth position with threats from Mufulira Wanderers who they share same points but have a superior goal difference. They play Forest Rangers a team they have met 9 times in the Super League with identical statistics. Four wins , four losses and one draw describes this fixture and I just have the instinct that this will be a second draw these teams will produce.

VERDICT :

BWEZANI : FOREST RANGERS 1-1 NKWAZI

MANGESA : FOREST RANGERS 0- 0 NKWAZI

Lusaka Dynamos vs Red Arrows

Sunset stadium

13:00

There is so much identity in the statistics between these teams. Already this season both have scored 24 goals but Red Arrows have only conceded 22 while the Elite have conceded 34. Games between the sides are all the same. Four victories, four losses and three draws. For Red Arrows this is the right time to play Lusaka Dynamos because the team is not in the right frame of mind and one wonders what happened to their explosives of the first half of the season. They meet Red Arrows free of relegation fears at least and working on bettering the league position with nothing really to fight for. Red Arrows  has been flat in most of the games this season while picking good points on the road and I just think they have a better frame of mind to face Lusaka Dynamos and they win. Lusaka Dynamos grabbed a point at Nkoloma in a game played in June but Lusaka Dynamos had hit the ground running. Not anymore.

VERDICTS

BWEZANI : LUSAKA DYNAMOS 1-2 RED ARROWS

MANGESA : LUSAKA DYNAMOS 2-2 RED ARROWS

ZANACO Vs Blades

Sunset stadium

15:00

ZANACO hoping to maintain second spot are at home to Konkola Blades who slowly crumbled into the relegation zone and now are in fear of going to division one worse more if the restructuring of the Super league and division one doesn’t go through in a reconvened FAZ AGM meeting slated for 10th October 2015 then Blades may just be playing division one football next season.

Am only seeing one winner here and the record of Zanaco against Blades is excellent As Blades has just won once away At Zanaco.  The two javelin played 19 times in the past, Zanaco with 8 wins and coupled with 8 draws. This is not the fixture Zanaco would love to hand over second spot to Power Dynamos who host Assembly at home on Saturday. Zanaco may be third as they kick off this encounter and that will have a little pressure which am sure they are able to handle. ZANACO WILL WIN.

VERDICT

BWEZANI : ZANACO 2-0 KONKOLA BLADES

MANGESA : ZANACO 2-0 KONKOLA BLADES
