Be Foward Wanderers 1-1 Big Bullets

Played in the capital city Lilongwe ,the Blantyre derby did not disappoint .

The much awaited Blantyre derby between Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets ended in a 1-1 draw .This is a massive boost to the Nomads who are on top with less than 6 games left to play before the end of the season.

Wanderers have a seven point gap between them and Big Bullets with the latter in dire need of the three points to cut the lead but the mission proved too difficult to achieve as the Nomads defended jealously in the entire 90 minutes to leave Bingu National Stadium with heads held high.

The match saw Malawian bigwigs in soccer Nomads Joseph Kamwendo score inside six minutes for the from a beautifully taken free kick before Chiukepo Msowoya equalized for Bullets on the half hour mark.

Kamwendo stepped in and slotted home beating Bullets keeper Chiyenda to the far right corner after Miracle Gabeya had committed a foul
However, Kamwendo stretched off with the Nomads almost doubling their tally when Gabeya made a school boy error inside his own box but Chande failed to put the ball into the net in unbelievable circumstances.

The Peoples team pressed hard for a leveller , Fischer Kondowe being the architect as he delivered a masterclass cross into the box for Msowoya to to equalize for a 1-1 scoreline

The scoreline does not change the standings at the top with Nomads going seven points clear

Elsewhere, Azam Tigers and Red Lions drew 1-1 while MAFCO FC came from behind to force Masters Security to a 2-2 draw.
