AFC Leopards beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 to lift the 2017 GoTV Shield at Kasarani Stadium Saturday.

Two goals from Salim Abdallah and Vincent Oburu in each half sealed the big win which redeems Ingwe’s below per outing in this season’s Kenyan Premier League.

They also book a ticket to represent Kenya in the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup.

Salim jumped high to bury a corner kick for the opener in the 19th minute – a lead they managed to hold onto till the first interval.

Second half kickoff was delayed after a scuffle ensued between a section of Sharks’ technical bench and Leopards security detail.

The 2013 champions kept a high paced game while defending tight in the second half.

Oburu doubled the lead – burying a rebound in the 81st minute to settle the match 2-0.

Leopards take home Kshs 2 millions for their efforts, while Sharks pocket half the amount.

Sharks were playing their first GoTV Shield finals after finishing runners up last year.
