AFC Leopards newly appointed coach Henrick De Jongh got his first win incharge when his charges got a deserved 2-0 win over Eticelles of Rwanda in a highly electrifying match played at the Khartoum Stadium on Saturday evening.
Noah Wafula broke the deadlock in the 20th minute as Austin Ikenna put matters beyond their opponents in the 81st minute.
AFC Leopards face off next with Tanzanian side Mbeya City who beat Burundian side Academie Tchite 3-2 in an earlier fixture.
Leopards have been blowing hot and cold in the Kenyan premier league and despite missing some of their key players like Allan Wanga,Jacob Keli and Wycliffe Kasaya the Kenyans dominated the better part of the game with sleek moves from captain Paul Were who was a constant thorn in the flesh of the Eticelles defence.
