Mali 1-1 Cameroon
Cameroon left it late to hold unlucky Mali and throw group D all square in a fast paced match at the Estadio Malabo in the capital city of Equatorial Guinea.
Bakari Sako was a handful for Cameroon all night,his blistering pace causing the Lion’s defence some jittery moments.Mali went ahead on seventy minutes,veteran captain Seydou Keita’s long freekick landing on the boot of Suley Yatabare at the back post,who rifled it between the legs of teenage goalkeeper Ondoa Ebogo.
Cameroon equalised with seven minutes left when Oyongo Nkoe ghosted in behind the Mali defence to latch onto a long Sam Loe pass to stab the ball past Soumaila Diakite.
The second round of matches get underway on Wednesday in group A,hosts Equatorial Guinea facing Burkina Faso and Gabon up against Congo
