AFCON 2015: DR CONGO RALLY TO HOLD ZAMBIA

By Fredrick Nadulli aka Razor,

Zambia 1-1 Congo DR

Former African champions Zambia were held by Congo Democratic as the Nations’ cup entered day two in Equatorial Guinea.
On a cool evening at the Estadio Ebeyin,Congo fielded eight players from top Kinshasa side Tout Pouissant Mazembe, but it was a Zambian export playing for the same side who did the damage.

Striker Given Singuluma put Zambia ahead with barely ninety seconds on the clock after Kidiaba Muteba had parried away a Mayuka effort.Another Mazembe import and Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba had his freekick beaten away on seventeen minutes.

Crystal Palace midfielder Yannick Bolasie pulled his side level twenty one minutes after the restart with a fierce tap-in after the Zambian backline failed to clear their lines

Tunisia and Cape Verde meet later in the second match of group B.
