The race for the 2017 African cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon entered day two of the second round of matches across the continent.

Chiukepo Msowoya put the flames ahead on resumption but Sifiso Mabila cancelled the lead for a 2-2 draw.

In Harare,Ibrahim Traore scored early in the 3rd minute for Guinea but Knowledge Musona drew matters even as Zimbabwe held Guinea to a 1-1 draw

The results means Swaziland who beat Guinea in round one and Zimbabwe who beat Malawi earlier top the Group with 4 points apiece as  Malawi and Guinea settle on a point each.

El Arbi Hilal Soudani scored a brace to help Algeria down  Lesotho 1-3 away  in Maseru.Faouzi Ghoulam had put the visitors ahead in the 38th minute but Ralekoti Mokhahlane restored parity only for Arbi to score two quick goals in the 85th and 90th minutes for maximum points.

Algeria now tops group J followed by Ethoipia who held Seychelles away in Victoria.Seychelles are last on a point.

In Group B,central African Republic beat DRC 2-0 .Angola are top of the group after a goalless draw with Madagascar yesterday.

Matches currently underway in Group G where Egypt are leading Chad 1-5 away while its all level between Benin and Mali and the match between Sierra leone against Ivory Coast.

Zambia join congo on top of Group E after beating Kenya 1-2 in nairobi with Winston Kalengo cancelling  Michael Olunga’s opener only for Collins Mbesuma to score the winner.Congo had earlier yesterday silenced Guinea Bissau 2-4 in Bissau
