Burundi Swallows kick-started their 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in group C with a 3-0 drubbing of South Sudan at Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium, Bujumbura Sunday.

Cedric Cole Amis broke the iceberg fifteen minutes into play after a bright start. Gael Duhayindavyi doubled the lead a minute later for a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Bloamfortein Celtic forward Fiston Abdul Razak stretched the lead in the 35th minute with the third to seal the lead for the coach Olivier Niyungeko’s side.

Burundi go top of group C with three points pending the outcome between Mali and Gabon.
