Administration Police FC travel to Githunguri stadium Sunday 18 to exchange fire with Green Berets in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Division One League fixture dubbed “Police Deby”.

The two sides fall under the larger Kenya Police umbrella, but that’s as far as it goes because on the field it’s gloves off and the rivalry is fierce.

AP Coach Major Dave Mc’Ongiri has clearly spelt out his target for the crunch tie that is to slice the gap at the top of the log which currently stands at four points. They are currently 6th on 27 points, behind leaders Kibera Black Stars on 31 points.

“We want to narrow the gap between us and the league leaders and we are taking one game at a time. History favors us on this but to us it’s a non-issue. Our focus is firmly on earning promotion to the National Super League next season.” Dave told Soka25east.com.

The first leg of this encounter ended 2-2. AP’s last outing in the league was a 1-1 draw against Coast Stima at Savannah Complex while Green Berets were 3-2 winners over Brinks FC at Kabete Technical.

Heading into today’s tie, AP played a warm-up against Gor Mahia Youth winning 1-0 at Camp Toyoyo on Friday.

They will be missing the services of first choice goalkeeper Ghanaian Mannaseh Diado who is on national duty in Accra with the country’s Beach Soccer team.

Kick-off 3PM
