Kenya’s Harambee Starlets have been drafted in pool “B” of the 10th edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) alongside the defending champions the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The continental football celebration will kick-off in Cameroon from November 19 to December 3,2016.

In the draw conducted on Sunday 18 at the Palais Polyvalent des Sports, Yaounde, the East Africa’s sole flag bearers in the competition will also have Ghana’s Black Queens and Mali to contend with in the group.

Nigeria are the most decorated side in the tournament having won all but two of the past nine editions.

Equatorial Guinea are the only outfit to have outwitted the West African heavyweights, in 2008 and 2012, they were however disqualified from this year’s showpiece and replaced by Mali for fielding an illegible player.

Newbies Starlets having horning their skills in the ongoing CECAFA Women’s Championship in Jinja, Uganda where they have reached the final slated for Tuesday.
