BREAKING NEWS: Sserenkuma on His Way Back to Gor Mahia!

By Bonface Osano,

“Today, Simba FC, myself and my agent have decided to mutually terminate my employment contract” That tweet by Dan Sserunkuma on Tuesday, signaled the end of a turbulent short stint stay at the Tanzanian giant by a man many Gor Mahia new generation fans regard as a legend.

Danny left for greener pastures at the end of the 2014 KPL season after 3 successful seasons with Gor that saw him win all the domestic honors on offer, the sweetest of them all being the  KPL title in 2013 after 18 years wait. His solitary goal against Sofapaka in the second leg of the 2013 KPL season effectively ended the Gor’s long painful wait for a league crown.

While at Gor, Danny was the tormentor in chief of K’Ogalo’s eternal rivals AFC Leopards

While at Gor, Danny was the tormentor in chief of K’Ogalo’s eternal rivals AFC Leopards, he scored in almost all the matches he featured against Ingwe, this among many of his on field exploits endeared him to Gor fans, and he was a hero to them.

All the good memories could be relived at K’Ogalo as the tiny man is on his way back to where he made his name, the negotiations for the big return is almost complete and it’s just a matter of time before he starts training with the champions ahead of the June transfer window. Danny was spotted in Kenya today morning.

AFC Leopards were doing all within their means to sign the Ugandan international

Soka25east.com also reliably learnt that AFC Leopards were doing all within their means to sign the Ugandan international but as things are presently that will not be possible.

Other teams that were rumored to be trailing Sserenkuma include Zambian sides Power Dynamos and Nkana FC.
