BUILD UP Afcon 2017: Lwandamina to unleash pros in Kenya clash

Zambia’s preparations for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya is gaining momentum as a contigent of foreign based players continue to pour in.

Chipolopolo Coach George Lwandamina has so far gathered almost all the foreign based players he summoned in readiness for this weekend’s clash to be played at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi on Sunday 6 September 2015.

Skipper Rainford Kalaba of TP Mazembe arrived in the Zambian camp yesterday August 31, and is joined by defender Stopilla Sunzu from Lille in France. Chisamba Lungu, Nathan Sinkala, Aaron Katebe, Collins Mbesuma, goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, Kondwani Mtonga and Kabaso Chongo have all reported for the residential camp.

Emmmanuel Mbola, Lubambo Musonda and Evans Kangwa are expected to complete the list of foreign based players. Striker Jacob Mulenga declined the callup while Ronald Sate Sate Kampamba has been excused.

However, Lwandamina still has enough firepower to upset the Harambee Stars in their own backyard. The 2012 African Champions are expected to travel back to Lusaka immediately after the Kenya game to face Gabon in an International friendly slated for 8 September 2015 at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
