Much travelled Burundi “Swallows” skipper Ndikumana Yamin Selemani has joined Qatar’s Stars League outfit Al-Mesaimeer Sports Club.

The 29-year old striker penned a one-year deal to complete the move from Burundi’s “Amstel Ligue” back to back champions Vital’O.

The Bujumbura born 6ft 1in tall marksman has a chequered career spanning over 11 years that has seen him ply his trade in Africa and Europe and now Asia.

His junior years started at AS Inter Stars in 2003 before moving to Simba SC of Tanzania four years later.

After two years in the Tanzania top league, Ndikumana crossed over to Europe with Norwegian side Mode FK in 2008 and Lierse SK in the Belgian second division a year later.

He returned to Burundi in 2010 to play for Fantastique Bujumbura before moving to Sudan giants El Merreikh in 2013 for a season and then back to Europe with FK Tirana in 2014.

From Tirana he tested “Girabola” with Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto and then back home in 2015 with Vital’O.

Capped 47 times by the “Swallows” he is The All time leading top scorer for the national team with 13 goals.

Al-Mesaimeer Sports Club was formed in 1998 in Mesaimeer; they earned promotion to the top league in the 2014/15 season from Qatargas League.
