C.K Akunnor announce Ghana squad for double header vs Sudan

Ghana’s Head Coach Charles Kwabla Akunnor has officially announced his squad for the Sudan games.


The 46-year-old ex-skipper made the full revelation of his squad in a press conference at the Accra City Hotel on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The 23 players is made up of 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 5 midfielders and 8 forwards.


It is the first time such a thing has happened in Ghana.


The Black Stars got their Cameroon 2021 Afcon qualification campaign off to an impressive start in November last year with two wins on the bounce against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and The Falcons and True Parrot of Sao Tome and Principe away.

Ghana will be expecting to put qualification from Group C firmly in control with scalp of Sudan who they first play at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Friday, March 27 at 7Pm. 


The reverse encounter comes off in Omdurman three days later.


Ghana heads Group C with 6 points, followed by South Africa and Sudan who occupies 2nd and 3rd with 3points each respectively, Sao Tome and Principe sit bottom with no point from two games.
