Desportivo de Agosto of Angola were made to settle for a point in a CAF Champions League Group D match against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia on Saturday.

Ammer Jamal struck in second half to cancel out Lompala Bokamba’s opener in a match played at a near full capacity Estadio 11 de Novembro Stadium in Luanda,Angola.

The first half was an open attacking affair where both sides had chance to get on the score-sheet, Agosto through Jose Ganga and Amine Chermit and Sahel through the lively Ammar Jemal.

Ganga had a great shot on goal on 20 minutes which was comfortably saved by Achraf Krir in the Tunisians goal while Chermit too had a pop from distance seven minutes later which Krir was equal to.

Troco looked a threat all afternoon and his run and interchange of passing with Bakul Jacques nearly created a goal for the home side but his shot was wayward on 32 minutes.

Agosto finally got into the driving seat in the 44th minute when Lompala Bokamba slotted in from a counter attack.

Second half

The second half too was full of attacking intent from the home side who looked the more threatening of the duo.

Wajdi Kerchrida beat Agosto full-back Beadrick Unge on the flanks but his shot was over the bar on 47 minutes. Four minutes later, Bokamba combined with Ganga but his shot too was over the bar.

Etoile Du Sahel ‘s opportunities came through Jamal on 56 minutes but his shot was not strong and was easily gathered by Cripriano, with Mohammed Msakni and Bangoura also having shots on goal that were to no avail.

Ammer Jamal got a an equalizer for the visitors on the 66th minute setting the stadium into a dead silence.

Late

Jacques Bakulu had a late opportunity but he shot over the bar with time running out while Beadrick Unge ‘s effort was blocked with two minutes to go as the game ended 1-1.
