Asante Kotoko will take on Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya in the second round of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors advanced to this stage after Cameroon Football Federation failed to submit a representative for the CAF’s Inter-Club Competition.

Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya also progressed to this stage following a 3-0 second leg win [9-1] aggregate win over Arta Sihd of Djibouti.

Kotoko will go away to play Sharks in Nairobi on Dec 16 with the second leg happening on Dec 23 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The aggregate winners qualifies to the Group stage – famously known as the “Money Zone.”

Kotoko is Ghana’s sole club participating in this year’s CAF Inter Clubs Competition.
