The CAF Executive Committee meeting held on Thursday  27.09.2018 in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh has unanimously agreed to  allow Ghana to host the upcoming AWCON tournament quashing earlier reports that they were to be stripped off the rights to host www.soka25east.com can confirm the new development.

In the meeting the executives sort to help the appointed four-member Normalisation Committee to ensure the success of the tournament instead of punishing the country.

A senior Exco member who  who was in the meeting but sort anonymity told www.soka25east.com

“Ghana will host the 2018 AWCON.We discussed the importance of CAF giving them support instead of punishing them because the country has gone through some trying times in the past few months”

“It was decided the Normalisation Committee will be given full support to ensure they achieve their mandate and help them get the AWCON ready in time instead of stripping them off the rights as earlier envisaged”The source told www.soka25east.com

Dr Kofi Amoah, who was the CAF/FIFA liaison team head leads the  four-member Normalisation Committee to run Ghana Football for the next six months .

He will be deputized by former Airtel Chief Executive Officer Lucy Quist.

Other members on the committee are Lawyer Duah Adonten, a former Kotoko Board member with Naa Odofoley Nortey completing the list.
