The Confederation of African football(CAF) executive committee are scheduled to discuss the fate of Sierra Leone today(Friday) in Accra,Ghana.

The CAF Exco meeting has Sierra Leone lined up as one of the agenda’s after they were suspended by FIFA for government interference.

Sierra Leone have only played two Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifers against Kenya where they won 1-0 and against Ethiopia where they lost by the same margin.

There absence in the remaining matches has created uncertainty in the group comprising Kenya,Ghana and Ethiopia as they have had to wait longer for a decision to be made on what will actually happen.

A close source intimated to www.soka25east.com that the CAF competitions department has submitted to the CAF Exco three scenarios on the fate of Sierra Leone that will be deliberated on.

Both Kenya and Ghana who are first and second respectively in the Group wait with bated breath on the resolution from the meeting that will decide if only one team will proceed to the 2019 AFCON from the group or if 2 teams will proceed and Sierra Leone forfeits the points from the matches played so far.
