CAF officials in Kenya to inspect facilities ahead of CHAN 2018

Officials from Caf are in the Kenya  to conduct an initial assessment of facilities available for hosting Chan 2018.

The delegation of two high profile officials landed in the country on Tuesday evening.

FKF   have confirmed that the delegation consisting of Caf first Vice President Suketu Patel and Secretary General Hicham El Amrani will go on a detailed inspection of the hotels and the stadiums to be used for the 16-team tournament.

The team kicked off their task on Wednesday morning with a tour of the Mombasa Stadium as well as the KPA Mbaraki Sports Club after which they will further assess state of the accommodation facilities and the training ground that will be used the competing teams.

Other venues that are up for inspection include MISC Kasarani, Nyayo Stadium and Kisumu Moi Stadium,Mombasa and Kinoru Stadium in Meru.

The delegation includes FKF President Nicky Mwendwa, his deputy Doris Petra, Secretary General/CEO Robert Muthomi and South Coast Branch Chairman Gabriel Mghendi among other local federation officials.
