CAF President Ahmad Ahmad has wrapped up his three-day working visit to Rwanda where he interacted with stakeholders towards development of football.

During his last day of visit on Monday,Ahmad paid courtesy call on President Paul Kagame at the State House just hours after he addressed the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) held at Kigali Convention Centre in the capital Kigali.

According to a press release by Rwandese Football Federation, Ahmad was accompanied by the local football governing boss Nzamwita Vincent, Minister of Sports and Culture, Madam UWacu Juliene, and CAF Presidential Advisors Hedi Hamel and Loic Gerand.

Ahmad paid tribute to President Kagame’s passion and love for football, particularly commending him for his continued financial support toward the regional CECAFA Kagame Cup competition that attracts top clubs from more than 10 regional countries.

He also thanked him for the support accorded to him during the elections of the CAF Presidency last year.

President Kagame assured Ahmad his support towards his mandate of bringing changes and reforms to the African football body as well as developing African football (youth and women).

On Sunday, President Ahmad donated $2000 during his visit to Kigali Genocide Centre to go into the maintenance of the memorial and in their campaign of continuous genocide prevention and the fight against genocidal ideology.
