The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will host an epic friendly versus regional rivals and Total AFCON 2017 hosts Gabon on September 6 at Stade de Limbe, Cameroon.

The fixture comes days after the conclusion of the Nations Cup qualifiers in the opening days of September, and Cameroon will use it as part of preparations ahead of 2018 Russia World Cup qualifiers.

Both giants are through to the biggest continatal football gathering, meaning their respective final group matches against Gambia and Sudan on September 3rd and 2nd are as well warm-ups.

Cameroon sailed through as group “M” winners and Gabon as hosts despite playing group “I” matches.

The last encounter between the two Central Africa heavyweights came January 2010 with the Jorge Costa side winning 1-0.
