Onduparaka FC beat battling Vipers SC 1-0 in a thrilling encounter at Green Light Stadium on Tuesday.

It was Onduparaka’s fourth win this season putting also an end of a four match winless streak.

Mohammed Shaban scored the important goal in the second half pushing his tally to seven goals this season.

It was a match that saw both sides creating several chances with Vipers having the best with creative midfielder Kezron Kizito blazing open chances wide.

Gaddafi Gadhinho nearly broke the dedlock minutes after opening of second half this time in a one on one situation after the speedy attacker capitalized on some poor defending from the Uganda Cup champions.

Mohammad Shaban got himself on the score sheet with a near loop two minutes later firing over advancing Isma Watenga.

Vipers introduced Brian Nkuubi,Musa Esenu and Erisa Ssekisambu few minutes to the end with the trio combination almost paid off with persistence attacks,but it was all to no avail.

In the end,the win was what Onduparaka needed to avenge the Uganda Cup final loss to Vipers.
