Cecafa Kagame Cup-KCCA redeem themselves by Adama win

By Austin Oduor Otieno,

KCCA captain Tom Matsiko’s 79th minute penalty was all enough for KCCA to eliminate hard fighting Adama City 1-0 in a Cecafa group C match played at the Karume Stadium in Dar es Salaam. This is the first win for KCCA and this brings them back into contention and they will fight for a place with Al Malakia. They play Malakia for the decisive match in the last round of the preliminaries.

In the match, the captain converted from the spot after Kobs player Derrick Nsibamba was brought down in the box area by Adama City defender Yacob Fiseha.

They are now jointly second with Al Malakia going into the last group match where apparently they will be meeting Al Malakia who shocked Adama City in the first match.
