Zambian forward Clatous Chota Chama is grateful for the Al Ittihad SC stay however short it was.

The former Zesco United man penned a three-year-deal with Egyptian outfit last year, but it did not come to fruition, as “things did not work out.”

“May I take this opportunity to thank each and every fan of this big beautiful club (Al Ittihad SC) for the love and care, the support and encouragement, the welcome you all showed me,” Triple “C” as Chama is fondly referred to posted on his Facebook page.

He went on, “I thank you everyone who advised me and helped me while I was here and before I came. To the President of the club Dr. Mashaly I thank you so much for your kindness and honesty, for your trust and belief.”

However, he does not divulge details about the much speculated departure, “For some reasons things did not work out like we human beings would have loved it to be or had planned.”

He wished the club best of luck, “I’m leaving with a peace of mind, peace in my heart and peace to the club. I wish the players, coaches the management and the fans all the best of luck and God’s grace.”
