Burundi to host Tanzania and Djibouti in warm-ups ahead of the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying matches starting April.

The friendly against Tanzania is slated for 8 March 2017 before they face Djibouti on 13 March 2017 in Bujumbura.

Burundi, grouped in the Central East Zone of the qualifiers, will battle for the two slots available with Ethiopia, Rwanda and Somalia.

The 5th edition of the championship played purely by players plying their trade in the domestic league will be hosted in Kenya from 11 January 2018 to 2 February 2018.

The qualifiers will commence 20 April – 20 August 2017, with 48 teams taking part.
