Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre wants to bow out of the CHAN Morocco 2018 with a good result against Cote d’Ivoire in their last group ‘B’ matches in Marrakech Monday.

Two defeats to Zambia (3-1) and Namibia (1-0) ensured that the East Africans crushed out of the continental showpiece designed for home-based professionals at the initial stage for the fourth time on the trot.

But Desabre, who only took charge a few days to the championships’ kick-off, believes a good result against Cote d’Ivoire, who also suffered two loses in the group, would be great for supporters as he plots for the future.

“We want to finish on a high and post good results for the fans back home. We have good potential for the future,” the Frenchman said.

The former Egypt’s Ismaily SC coach added that the Morocco outing gave him a good “evaluation” of the side and a glimpse of the brand of football he wants to play.

Desabre has made it known that his style is all an attacking football, which a sharp contrast to his predecessor’s defensive style.

“It was a good evaluation of the players. This has been my first assignment with Uganda Cranes. We showed our quality and kind of football we want to play but results were not impressive.”

Cranes skipper Bernard Muwanga reiterated Desabre’s sentiments.

“We shall play our hearts out for a good result. We know the value of the match and we want to finish third.”

The dead rubber match will kick-off at 10:00PM East Africa Time at Stade de Marrakech.

In another match of the day, red hot Zambia will take on surprise package and debutants Namibia at Mohammed V Stadium, Casablanca for group ‘B’ winner.
