Antoine Hey, the Rwanda national team (Amavubi) coach has summoned former AS Vita Club striker Ernest Sugira to boost his frontline ahead of CHAN 2018 do or die return clash against Uganda Saturday.

Hey seeks to reverse a 3-0 away loss in the first leg and qualify for the continental tournament slated for Kenya early 2018.

Sugira returned to the local scene last week after penning a year-deal with APR FC making him eligible to play in the tournament.

Also drafted in the team is Mugisha Gilbert who last month joined Rwandan Premier League reigning champions Rayon Sports from relegated Pepineire FC.

They replace suspended duo of central defender Aimable Rucogoza and striker Mubumbyi Barnabe, who both received second accumulative yellow cards in the Uganda loss over the weekend.

Muzamir Mutyaba grabbed a brace with Derrick Nsibambi added another to secure the comfortable win.

However, Hey is confident they can upset the form book and sail through.

“We are going to prepare the best we possibly can for the second leg, it’s not over yet, anything can happen,” Hey said.
