Chelsea are on the verge of signing Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech from Ajax on an £38 million deal in the coming days.
Ziyech will be Frank Lampard’s first signing since the Blue’s 2 year transfer ban was lifted.
Ziyech will join Chelsea in the Summer of 2020.
The Morocco international has been a rumoured target for the Blues, Arsenal and Tottenham in transfer windows gone by, but reports broke on Wednesday that the Blues were in advanced talks for the 26-year-old.
A deal worth £38million is said to be close, with the clubs making an ‘oral agreement’ for a transfer, while Ziyech has reportedly agreed personal terms.
Ziyech a key member of the Ajax team, scored against the Blue’s in the Champions League back in November in the 4-4 draw.
