Congo Brazzaville coach Pierre Lechantre has named a team of 38 for upcoming 2018 World Cup group “E” qualifier away to Uganda at Namboole stadium, Saturday, November 12.

The “Red devils”, lost 2-1 at home to Egypt in their opening group match on October 9, and the 66-year old Frenchman will be hoping to get their campaign back on track when they travel to Kampala.

France based striker, Thievy Bifouma, is among notable faces in the list, alongside skipper Prince Oniague of Wolverhampton and Fabrice Nguessi Ondama, who has had a good season with CAF champions league semi-finalists Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.

Uganda, who held Ghana to a barren draw in Tamale, will prepare for the match with a friendly against 2012 AFCON winners Zambia on November 12.

Congo have never qualified for the World Cup; they failed to make it to AFCON 2017 in Gabon.
