Congo Brazzaville will be without first choice keeper Gildas Kiwoko Mouyabi when they play Uganda in World Cup qualifier at Namboole, Saturday, October 12,2016.

The AC Leopards shot stopper was pierced by a nail while in training at Nakivubo stadium, and has been ruled out of the group “E” tie.

The 30-year-old confirmed the same on his Facebook page, “I want to inform you friends, fans, parents that I will not be available on Saturday against Uganda. I injured myself in training and I’m undergoing treatment.”

“It’s the first time I am seeing thing ever since I joined football, I am not sure whether it was intentional or not, but that’s life, but you know what it means not being with your first choice goalkeeper,” Congo coach Pierre Lechantre said after the team’s last training session at Namboole stadium Friday 11.

Gildas was rushed to hospital and given a tetanus jab.

The last time the two nations met at Namboole stadium the Cranes won 4-0, however, Lechantre does not see a repeat of the same today, as his team is now a totally different outfit.

Congo will be looking to bounce back after going down to Egypt in the opening round of the qualifiers in October, while Uganda, who held Ghana away in Tamale will be angling to consolidate the gain with a first win.
