2016 Cosafa U-20 Championships Group D match between DR Congo and Comoros has officially been suspended due to a power outage here in South Africa on Saturday.

Moruleng Stadium the venue for the match, suffered a blackout in the 65th minute as match was going on.At that time DR Congo was leading 2-0 against the Islanders when the power failure happened with the event organizers announcing that the outcome will be announced in due course.

During the match Comoros struggled to find their best form with DRC having the first opening of the game in the 6th minute when Ernest Sita broke the deadlock with a powerful volley,which gave Aboubakar Kaou no chance.

Nathan Kasuki was the other star on the day and took advantage of a defensive approach to score the goal in the second half minutes before the lights went off .

Attacker Anli Mohammed was introduced for Comoros before the break but DRC remained the more dangerous side and Kasuki extended their advantage in the 62nd minute.
