Comoros International Djamel Bakar scored his first goal for his new French club Royal Charleroi on Tuesday helping his team beat Marienbourg 4-0 in a pre-season match.

The 27-year-old French born forward needed only nine minutes to score his first goal making an impact to the club huge victory ahead of new season.

In an interview with the club website Bakar was delighted for his debut after joining his new club from another French side Montpellier.

“We had a serious match and we won.I scored my first goal in the jersey of Sporting and I hope it will appeal to others.”

“I work hard every day, and I hope i will be ready for the new season.These four goals we scored are a lot of good morale to me”

Djamel Bakar was born on 6th April 1989 in Marseille,France.He previously played for Ligue 1 sides Monaco and AS Nacy as a striker before joining Montpellier a club that he left months ago.

At just 18 years he was playing for AS Monaco and he is remembered to have scored a hat-trick in his first match against Stade Brestois 29 in the Coupe de France .

His past impressive performances have seen him previously being linked to various top-flight European clubs such as VfL Bochum , Reggina and West Ham United .

Bakar was born to parents of Comorian descent.He made his international debut in a historic 1-0 win against Uganda .
