The “Leopards” of DR Congo will play two high profile build up matches against Euro 2016 surprise package Northern Ireland and the Dragons of Wales.

According to rdcfoot, DR Congo football federation (FECOFA) president Constant Omari confirmed the warm-up against Northern Ireland will take place on Wednesday October 12 while a later date for the Wales’ will be communicated.

The fixture versus the White and Green Army will come after the Leopards’ 2018 Russia World Cup group “B” qualifier opener against Libya on October 8 at home and before they travel to Guinea on November 7 for their second clash.

Northern Ireland ranked 28 by FIFA reached the last 16 in Euro 2016 whiles the Dragons, currently ranked 11th in world were semi-finalists in the competition.

DR Congo placed 56 globally are angling for a second appearance at the global football stage since 1974, the Coach Florent Ibenge’s side are also through to the 2017 AFCON in Gabon and the friendlies will go a long way in preparing the team for the same.
