The Pharaohs of Egypt delivered a convincing victory on Tuesday night in Alexandria as they dumped the Hawks of Togo 3-0 in a high-profile friendly game.

Hector Cooper coached side scored the goals in the second 45 minutes of the game played at the 86,000 capacity Borg El-Erab Stadium saw the Pharaohs extend their superb form this year.

Mahmoud Kahraba, Ahmed El-Sheikh and Mohamed Elneny were the goal scorers for the Pharaohs as Egypt improved on her head-to-head record against one of their fiercest rivals on the continent.

Kahrab opened the floor when he slotted home from Hegazi’s longball in the 48th minute after turning a mistake from a Togolese defender to make it 1-0 for the hosts.

Egypt tally was increased in the seven minutes later through Ahmed El-Sheick in his debut through a free kick to double the lead.

While it was looking like Egypt will settle for a 2-0 win, Arsenal’s player Mohammes Elmey put the icing on the cake as he slammed ball for the third goal for the night.

The friendly game was put together to help the Pharaohs hit the right note for the fast approaching 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
