Mufulira Wanderers win twice on a bounce and it’s another loss for Mufulira Blackpool and pundits say its relegation bound

Winners:

MUFULIRA WANDERERS, POWER DYNAMOS, KABWE WARRIORS AND ZANACO

MUFULIRA WANDERERS

It’s twice in two weeks and another boost for the Mufulira based teams as they had the 110th player to score in the league in Nchimunya Munene who scored in the first half and that was enough to give Mufulira Wanderers three points that pushed them eighth on the log table.

What was interesting after the game is that care taker coach Chewe had a serious statement to the EXCO telling them that he deserves the coaching job after winning two games in two weeks.

Mufulira Wanderers should be proud of this win as Nakambala Leopards is not as easy side to play. Next up is the journey to North Western Province.

POWER DYNAMOS

From the defeat at Shinde Stadium, Power Dynamos walked on the pitch to take on the weeping boys of the season so far in Mufulira Blackpool and of course a win was always going to be expected.

It was one way traffic as Fwayo Tembo scored two goals to take his tally to three and as well as provided an assist in all round interesting tie at Athur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Kennedy Mudenda and Larry Bwalya scored the other goals to push Power Dynamos fourth on the table one point behind ZESSCO United but of course Power has played two more games that Zesco united.

But it will be refreshing for the Kitwe giants to hold on to the grip of fourth position.

KABWE WARRIORS

Kabwe Warriors welcomed Green Eagles in Kabwe with the hope of extending their unbeaten run at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu and Godfrey Ngwenya scored the lone goal to send Kabwe Warriors seventh two points below Green Buffaloes.

The last time Godfrey Ngwenya scored was another home encounter against Forest Rangers that Kabwe Warriors won 4-1 in week 10.

So far everything is going right for Kabwe Warriors but the team needs to improve their away form if they are to be the Kabwe Warriors of old.

Muhamad Fathy has vowed not to take the team to division one despite frustration of poor officiating and none visibility of Kabwe Warriors on Supersport.

ZANACO

It was business as usual as they hosted Red Arrows at Sunset and the difference between the two sides was clear as even when ZANACO went one man down in the second half, the better team was still clear (ZANACO).

They beat Red Arrows 2-0 with the two goals scored in each half.

Saith Sakala scored in the first half and Roderick Kabwe who has having a very good season scored his fifth of the season in the second half to condemn Red Arrows to their third loss of the season.

Zanaco  still beaten have scored 20 goals and conceded only 4 the best in the league. ZANACO mean business.
DRAWS

LUSAKA TIGERS 0-0 NKWAZI

There is officially no team better than Lusaka Tigers were the highest number if draws are concerned. They have now drawn seven games in 12 games.

It was another goal less draw at home against Nkwazi and that meant Lusaka Tigers would finish week 13 on 13th position and Nkwazi on 5th position. Both teams have no games in hand.

Nchanga Rangers 0-0 Forest Rangers
I don’t know what has happened to Nchanga Rangers as their form has just gone down.

They got their third draw of the season when they hosted Forest Rangers and the challenge of scoring continued. They have only scored 7 goals and allowed 12.

Forest Rangers will welcome the draw as valid point that keeps them on 10th position and for now safe from relegation worries.

Nkana 0-0 Lumwana Radiants

This was not expected and credit should be given to Lumwana for the point accredited to their point tally away at league Leaders and this will be like a win for Lumwana and a loss for Nkana.

It was another bad day in the office for Nkana that will rule the missed chances in the first half and blow up the opportunity of commanding the league leaders.

The draw also gives initiative to ZANACO to lead should they beat Nkana in their rescheduled game. A valid point for Lumwana without a doubt.

LOSSES

Mufulira Blackpool

Early candidates for relegation received another biggest score line in one game, allowing four goals without scoring any and they have now conceded 21 goal, the highest in the league.

They have lost seven games now and remain the only team without a win so far. Serious relegation candidates if you were to analyze the games.

NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS

Nakambala Leopards needs some serious motivation to get back to their usual difficult team to beat status before they start getting down the log and in fear of getting into the relegation zone.

The second loss in two weeks after they lost to Nkana at home.

Mufulira Wanderers was next and another lone goal means Nakambala after a very good spell could have thoughts of relegation fears clipping in them the soonest.

There are only two points above relegation zone and that means another loss coupled

GREEN EAGLES

They travelled to Kabwe to take on Kabwe Warriors and their good defence and again showed as they only lost to a Godfrey Ngwenya goal but that is enough to still keep Green Eagles in the relegation zone and in fear of going down to division one.

This is another team that needs serious motivation and the rate of allowing goals is also alarming.

They have negative five goal difference which will be key in deciding their stay in the relegation zone as a lot of teams seem to have the same points.

RED ARROWS
Nothing to really talk about Red arrows continue its poor form and this was an expected defeat to Zanaco. RED ARROWS should move on very fast from the military training hungover or else they will find themselves in the wrong side of the table.

Bwezani  STATISTICS FOR WEEK NINE

Number of Goals scored: 10

BEST TEAM OF WEEK SIX FOR ME

POWER DYNAMOS: They may have played a Mufulira Blackpool but to score four goals in one game means there is some coordination that is coming up well at Athur Davies but what will now be key will be consistence away and at home. In week 13 Power Dynamos gets my vote to be the best team of the week.

MOST IMPROVED

MUFULIRA WANDERERS
Mufulira Wanderers continue improving and going up and the goals distributed from around the whole team with 9 players to have scored so far is good for the team. They still need to work on their striking force though.

MOST DISAPPOINTING TEAM

LUSAKA TIGERS
After a good start Lusaka Tigers is facing up with reality and their failure to score will be suicidal for their aspirations of staying in the Super League. For this week 13, TIGERS get my vote for the most disappointing team.

FIGHT RELEGATION
MUFULIRA BLACKPOOL: Without a doubt end the week as the most attractive candidate for relegation. Its 13 games without a win. Six draws, 7 losses, allowed 21 goals and only forced 5. That’s as bad as it can bad.
