The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says it has no immediate intention of parting ways with Broadcast sponsors Supersport and will be willing to sit down and negotiate on improving the sponsorship deal.

Supersport recently terminated its broadcast deal with Zimbabwe’s Premier Soccer League leaving Zambia as the only League under its books after Kenya, Ghana and Nigerian Leagues all pulled out of their arrangements.

FAZ Vice President Rix Mweemba tells Soka25east.com that Supersport has been a very good partner to Zambian Football and has lauded the broadcaster for showing more League Games in the just ended season where two live games were beamed Live simultaneously on the last day with Zesco United emerging as Champions.

“You watch on Supersport how many games they are showing and all the activities in this country. They have gone a long way to expose our players on television,” Mweemba said.

Mweemba adds the Association will look to sit down with other sponsors to improve on Prize monies for the League and Awards.

He said, MTN who are the league sponsors have done a wonderful job and the Association is engaging a lot of other sponsors.

“There are no other sponsors coming on board but we are engaging a lot of them. Once we have a buffer of these sponsors, things will change and the Prize money will improve, ” He said.
