The world governing football body, has said, they are closely monitoring the situation in Sierra Leone after the country’s Anti-Corruption Commission, ACC ordered the football Association President Isha Johansen to step down.

“FIFA is closely monitoring developments and plans to provide the member association committee with the update on September 26,” FIFA Spokesman said.

According to latest ultimatum send to the president by ACC, Isha Johnasen and the Secretary General of the Association, Christopher Kamara are asked to vacate their post before FIFA’s task force visit the country to investigate potential match-fixing in Sierra Leone that took place in 2008.

The local ACC is accusing the authorities for corruption related charges, but both of them have strongly denied the allegations.

Talking to BBC Sports, acknowledged haven been informed of the ACC’s ultimatum but did not state whether she will follow it.

However, the ACC president, Francis Ben Kaifala has warned of tough actions it the football association president fails to comply with the order to step down from her post.

“If the Ministry doesn’t not take all the necessary measures within seven days to address the situation, we shall proceed to opening investigations against her for abuse of office,” Francis Ben Kaifala stated

Johansen was recalled to the Executive Committee of the football association a few months ago after been sideline as FIFA continued to work with her.

Nonetheless, FIFA is currently overseeing a road map which concerns I addition to the match-fixing investigations, delay to the association’s elections and agreeing the conduct of integrity checks on officials wanting to contest the executive positions.

Since 2008, eleven officials and four players have been suspended by the football association pending investigations following a world cup match-fixing between Sierra Leone and South Africa.

Following the head-to-head crisis and division in the football house, the countries football league have not had a domestic league for four years.
