It was action packed weekend in National Division 2 Central Rift league- zone A and B. In zone B, in-form Egerton University of Njoro beat Homa Bay based Shauri Yako FC 3-0 in a match played at the Campus ground, Njoro.

Dennis Mirugo tapped in the goal which separated the sides before his team mate Amos Makori made it 2-0, it was Samuel Barasa’s goal which sealed the win for the host afew mins to final whistle, Shauri Yako’s veteran midfielder Justus Dubu almost made it three-one but his effort was thwarted by hawked- eye Egerton custodian.

In zone A Homa Bay Allstars who last weekend broke the unbeaten record of league leaders Hema Moja narrowly lost to new boys Matrix FC in a match played at Sosiot ground in Kericho.

Lapse in visitors defence made them conceded two quick goals from captain Nick Kibet dazzling runs within the first fifteen minutes of the kick-off.

They later pick up, controlled the remaining first half before breaking for half time in the second half Toni Olunga gave the visitors their only goal in the 72nd minutes.
