The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced postponement of some Week 27 fixtures as well as a rescheduled fixture list for Week 28.

In a communique made available to fazfootball.com on Saturday, Referees Manager Katongo Kabungo stated that owing to the number of players called up to the Zambia national football team, Week 27 matches involving Zanaco and Zesco United had been
postponed to a later date.

Zanaco were scheduled to play at home against Lumwana Radiants while Zesco United were scheduled to travel to Lusaka Tigers.

Two Week 27 matches, Power Dynamos versus Nkana and Nchanga Rangers versus Napsa Stars, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 28 were already played during the weekend of 2nd to 4th September due to television broadcast.

That means only four matches will go ahead as scheduled on Wednesday. Green Eagles will host Nkwazi in Choma while Green Buffaloes will be at home to Mufulira Wanderers.

Mufulira Blackpool will be hosting Forest Rangers and Red Arrows travel to Kabwe Warriors.

The FAZ has also rescheduled all Week 28 matches which were to be played on Saturday, October 1 owing to a congested fixture list and the 2016 Reconvened Annual General Meeting scheduled to take place on the same day.

Two matches to be played in Lusaka – Nkwazi vs Mufulira Blackpool and Red Arrows vs Lusaka Tigers have been brought forward to Friday, 30th September while the rest of the league matches will be played on Sunday.

The league match between Zesco United and Nchanga Rangers will not be played because of a clash with the rescheduled Barclays Cup quarter- final match between Zesco United and Konkola Blades at Nkoloma Stadium on Sunday.

The match between Napsa Stars and Zanaco which could have been played on Friday has also been postponed because several Zanaco players will still be on national team duty.
