FUFA petition CAF over claims of Zambia fielded four over age players in U-17 win

By James Biti,

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)  has petitioned CAF to investigate Zambia for allegedly fielding four over aged players .

Zambia clobbered Uganda Cubs 2-0 to go through in the 2015 CAF U-17 qualifiers second round.Patson Daka,Changwe Kalale,Pumulo Siwanga and Enoch Mwepu are the players FUFA wants CAF to thoroughly investigate if they were eligible for the game because of their age which FUFA claimedwas above the given age group.

CAF has been very strict on cases of fielding of over age players and countries like  Gambia and  Benin faced the wrath of the parent football body when they were both banned .Zambia wait with bated breath on the outcome of CAF investigations that weill shade light on the validity of Uganda’s claims if at all the Zambia breached Article 33 clause 11 of CAF constitutiuon that stipulates teams to use only players of the age category in every competition .
