Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland have taken Gambian defender Muhammed Sanneh on a two-week trial.

The 17-year-old Real de Banjul versatile center-back, who can also play on the right/left-back positions, is invited to Ikast to tryout with the reserve side of the 2014/15 Danish champions.

Sanneh, a former product of Serrekunda United, will play reserve league matches to impress and convince coach Kenneth Andersen that he is worth a place in his team.

Midtjylland signed Muhammed’s elder brother, Buba, on a four-year contract from AC Horsens though the Scorpions international will join The Wolves in January.

Their U19 team currently occupies top position on the reserve league table with 24 points after 10 matches. FC Midtjylland Academy is the first Danish football academy based on the academy of French side FC Nantes.

The academy has developed players like Simon Kjær (Sevilla), Winston Reid (West Ham United), Erik Sviatchenko (Celtic) and Jonas Lössl (Huddersfield Town) amongst others.
