Ghana drawn against defending champions Cameroon

Ghana have been drawn with Cameroon, Benin and Guinea Bissau in Group F of the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.

Coach Kwesi Appiah’s side will face defending Champions, Cameroon at the Group stage as well as two other West African Nations.

The last time Ghana played Cameroon was in the last edition of the competition when the Idomitable Lions won 2-0 to advance to the grand finale in Gabon.

On the other hand, the Black Stars will be coming up against Benin and Guinea Bissau for the first time in the AFCON competition.

Ghana and the three other Group F teams will be based in Ismailia where they will be playing their group stage games at an 18525 capacity stadium.

The four time African Champions will open this year’s campaign against Benin on June 25 before facing Cameroon on June 29 with the final group match against Guinea Bissau scheduled for July 2 at the Suez Stadium.

This year’s edition of the continental showpiece which will the biggest with 24 participating countries will be staged from June 23- July 19.
