Log Leaders Wa All Stars stay top despite going down on the road to Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs – who won for the third consecutive time in as many outings to record their longest winning streak of the season as well as the longest winning run at the end of the match day.

And 2010 PL winners Aduana Stars kept hope alive for their second PL title with a lone goal win over neighbors Berekum Chelsea to jump Hearts for the second spot.

Elsewhere , defending PL champions – AshGold continued their survival push, forcing their much fancied hosts Dreams FC to come from a goal down for a share of the spoils, in the scorching battle between the hitherto last but one Bechem Utd and second but last Inter Allies, the former added to the woes of Allies, winning by two goals at home to improve their chances of beating the drop and bottommost New Edubiase’s hopes of warding off looming relegation did not come through as the visiting WAFA outfit managed to pick up part of the day’s spoils.

HEARTS 1-1 TECHIMAN CITY

Hearts of Oak missed a glorious opportunity to go top of the league and inch closer to the title when they were held to a pulsating one all draw at the Accra Sports Stadium. Hearts
are winless at home and the fans are getting impatient with the leadership of the club.

Hearts were awarded a penalty after Paul Acquah was brought down in the penalty box. Cosmos Dauda converted expertly to put the Phobians in the lead. The goal rather seemed to have put off the Phobians spirit and they went to sleep.

Techiman City recovered and picked up the pieces and this quickly resulted in the equalizer. Vincent Adu scored from a low grounder which beat everybody including Soulama Abdoulaye. Hearts tried to restore the lead but Techiman City held on coupled with profligacy from the Musah Ibrahim and Sam Yeboah.

BECHEM UNITED 2-0 INTER ALLIES

Relegation battlers, Bechem United and Inter Allies played a match of survival at the Bechem Park to see who would garner the available three points. The home side dominated the game in the first half but could not score.

The second half was the turning point for the home side after two penalties were awarded to Bechem United. Abednego Tetteh converted all the two penalties brilliantly to ease some of the pressure off.

EBUSUA DWARFS 1-0 WA ALL STARS

The resurgence of Ebusua Dwarfs continued with a comfortable one nil win over the league leaders at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium.
Ebusua Dwarfs are arguably the best side in this second round, dishing out some delightful play and some exciting score lines.

LIBERTY PROFESSIONALS 0-2 ASANTE
KOTOKO

Kotoko seem rejuvenated by last weekend win over Dreams FC and the story was not different at the Carl Reindorf Park. Lethal striker Dauda Mohammed struck in the first
half to give Kotoko the lead which they held on till half time.

Back from recess however, Kotoko’s
dominance continued and it resulted in the second goal. Eric Donkor scored to put the game beyond the reach of the home side. The win puts the Porcupine Warriors in contention
for the league title with just two points separating them and the league leaders.

ADUANA STARS 1-0 BEREKUM CHELSEA

The much anticipated Brong Ahafo derby involving Aduana Stars and Berekum Chelsea came off at the Nana Agyemang Park yesterday afternoon. It was the Dormaa side who won the bragging rights after pipping their regional neighbors.

Aduana Stars were the other big beneficiaries of week 24, leapfrogging Hearts of Oak to the second position and demonstrating their readiness to win the league if they get the
opportunity.

DREAMS FC 1-1 ASHANTIGOLD

AshantiGold’s brilliant overall performance this second round continued with another great outing at the Theatre of Dreams where the forced their hosts – Dreams FC  come back from a goal down for a share of the spoils.

Mumuni Shafiu connected with Anthony Yerful’s cross around the 20 minute mark for the opener but the lead was short-lived as Eric Opoku handled the ball in AshGold’s box and Abeiku Ainooson connected the resulting penalty for the equalizer just before the 25 minute mark.

NEW EDUBIASE 1-1 WAFA

New Edubiase seem to be losing the survival battle and with six games left to end the season, relegation is dawning on them. They look to be a weak side unable to win at home
or on the road.

They shared the spoils with WAFA who are poor away performers in a match that many expected them to capitalize on to boost their survival chances.

Edubiase took the lead in the first half through Nasir Lamine but they could not hold on to the lead. WAFA came back strongly in the second half to level the scores.
