Ghana Football Association will not renew its premier league’s broadcast rights contract with pay television giants DSTV/Supersport.

The current three-year deal runs out at the end of the season.

“Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end at some point,” Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, the General Manager of Multichoice Ghana confirmed, adding that the South African company will continue to support other sports disciplines in the West African country.

“SuperSport will continue to support the development of other sports disciplines in Ghana and wishes the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the best in their future endeavours,” he added.

The federation according to sources in Ghana is on the verge of sealing a lucrative deal with Supersport’s rivals “StarTimes” to take over the Ghanaian premier league broadcast rights.

Supersport will now be left with South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya leagues under their belt.
