Ghana have made progress in August’s edition of global ranking released on Thursday.

The Black Stars climbed to 45th from 47 after a total accumulated points of 1424.

This comes on the heels of their International friendlies win over Japan (2-0) and (2-2) draw vs Iceland in June.

On the continent ladder – Ghana shoot up to 4th from 6th.

The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia (24th) still on top although she has fallen two places on the World log sheet, the Teranga Lions of Senegal (28th) lie second, the Leopards of Congo DR (38th) occupy the third spot, the Atlas Lions of Morocco (46th) sit fifth and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon (47th) hold the sixth position.

France jumped three places to first on the global table following their World Cup success in Russia last month – Belgium, occupy second, followed by Brazil, Croatia, Uruguay, England, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark in that order.

Ghana will play the Harambee Stars of Kenya in the 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers in Nairobi on September 8.

The ranking will be updated on September 20.
