Ghana female U-17 team Black Maidens will head to United States of America for a training tour ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Soka25east.com understands

The Black Maidens have been in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram for six weeks now where they have been involved in some low friendly games.

With 36 players currently in camp, the squad will be prune down to 21 and be presented to FIFA prior to the tournament.

They are expected to fly out to the North American nation early November.

The 16-team tournament will be held in Uruguay from November 13 to December 1, 2018.

Coach Evans Adotey’s girls have been placed in Group A with host Uruguay, Finland and New Zealand.

Ghana will open their account against Uruguay on November 13 at the Estadio Charrua in Montevideo before taking on Finland and New Zealand on 16th and 20th respectively.

The Black Maidens were knocked out from the quarter-final stage of the last edition staged in Jordan in 2016.
