Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Brimah  has terminated  his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns with immediate effect.

Razak  Brimah who arrived at Sundowns a year ago parted ways with Sundowns following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.

The 31 year old joined the reigning Absa Premier League champions on a three year deal after leaving Spanish second tier side Cordoba.

Brimah who was part of Ghana 2015 Africa Cup of Nations made just four League appearances and apparently grew  frustrated with his lack of game time at the club.

This has subsequently led Brimah to sit down with the club and negotiate his release despite having penned a three year contract with the club.

Brimah found first first team football hard to come by at Chloorkop with the likes of Denis Onyango and Kennedy Mweene ahead of him in the pecking order.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane confirmed the departure of Razak Brimah

“Razak has left club and that’s why we brought in Reyaad Pieterse to strengthen our goalkeeping department said Mosimane after his side started their title defence with a 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday
