Porto’s Blue and white striker  Moussa Marega is among the chosen for the next few matches of the Malian national squad

Marega, who scored two goals and was named man of the match against Estorial in  4-0 win   , in the start of Liga NOS, was called up  by  coach Alain Giresse for the next two matches Mali will play, both against Morocco, in Group C of the African qualification stage for the 2018 World Cup, which will be hosted by Russia.

The number 11 of the Dragons is in the list of players called to the two matches against Morocco, with the first scheduled for September 1, at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium, in Rabat, Morocco. On September 5, Mali faces Morocco at home, in the 26 Mars Stadium, in Bamako.

With two matchdays already played, Mali is fourth and last in Group C, with one point, whereas Morocco is third, with two, the same as Gabon. The leader of the group is Ivory Coast, with four points.
