Gor Mahia in a must win clash as Lydia, Rayon renew rivalry

Kenyan premier league defending champions and leaders Gory Mahia will today evening take on surprise tournament package AS Ports of Djibouti in a must win match at the National Stadium at 6pm EAT

The match which will be played simultaneously with that of Rayon Sports against Lydia Ludic will be decisive and an encounter to watch

On Rayon Sports part their encounter with Lydia Ludic will rekindle the memories of the CAF Champions league preliminary clash early this year when the Burundian side was accused of fixing the match as they lost at home to the Rwandan giants

A win for Gor Mahia will see the 1985 CECAFA Champions through to the quarters while a draw will complicate matters considering APR(3 points) and JKU (4 points) finished third in their respective groups and are all chasing for the two best third placed teams

There will be a two day rest with the quarter finals coming up on Sunday and Monday

Simba ,Singida and Azam all of Tanzana have made the quarter finals together with Ugandan champions Vipers with the remaining four being decided today
