Kenya has remained in positon 105 in the latest Fifa rankings released on Thursday by the global football body.

The Kenyans did not play any match during the Fifa international break between November 12 and 20 after their 2019 African Football Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying match against Sierra Leone on November 18 was cancelled.

The Group “F” match was removed from the calendar as the West Africans are currently serving an indefinite ban from Fifa due to government interference in the Sierra Leone Football Association.

Uganda remains the top-ranked side from the East Africa region famously known as Cecafa after jumping four places to 75th globally.

Sudan, who have already exited the battle to be at the Cup of Nations next year, have jumped eight places to 127th after hitting Madagascar 3-1 in Antananarivo on November 18.

The Sudanese are the biggest climbers by ranks. Madagascar has slipped six places to 106. Rwanda has improved to 137th in the world after holding the Central African Republic to a 2-2 draw in a Group “H” qualifying match for 2019 AFCON.

Tanzania is fifth in Cecafa and 138th in the 211-nation Fifa roster after falling two places. After scaling up six places in October, Burundi continue to enjoy success in the rankings.

Burundi has moved up another three places courtesy of the 5-2 win over South Sudan in a Group “C” match in Juba.

Ethiopia is down one place to 151 after being whipped 2-0 by Ghana in a Group “F” encounter. Kenya leads this group with seven points after playing four matches followed one point behind by Ghana, who have played one match less. Ethiopia has played five matches.

Fellow Cecafa members Djibouti stay 197th, while Eritrea and Somalia remain at 204. Tunisia has been replaced by Senegal as the top-ranked side in Africa. The North Africans have dropped four places to 26th globally after Egypt beat them 3-2 in Alexandria in a Group “J” qualifying contest for 2019 Afcon. The Lions of Teranga of Senegal are up two spots to 22nd in the world. They defeated Equatorial Guinea 1-0 in Bata to stay unbeaten in Group “A” of the African Cup qualification.

Morocco moves up seven places to 40th in the world after the famous 2-0 routing of African champions Cameroon. Nigeria remains 44th worldwide after their 1-1 draw against South Africa in Johannesburg on November 17. The draw was enough to hand Nigeria the ticket to 2019 Cup of Nations with a match to spare.

The Democratic Republic of Congo is the only other side from Africa in the top-50 bracket. The Congolese occupy 49th spot after dropping three places. Kenya’s next opponents in the race to 2019 Afcon, Ghana, are up one place to 51st in the world.

Cameroon occupies 55th spot after dropping four places. The Cameroonians are now one place above African giants Egypt, who have ascended two spots. Belgium and World Cup champions France remain in the first two spots in the world followed by Brazil, Croatia and England in that order.
